Founded by entrepreneurs Felix Kichamu and Wouter Moekotte, circular carbon Kenya turns biomass waste feedstock into biochar (a stable form carbon similar to charcoal) which locks up carbon for millennia. Biomass which otherwise would have been left to compost or incinerated. As a negative emissions technology, biochar production removes carbon from the atmosphere and applied to soil sequesters even more carbon while increasing yields and retaining water among many positive by-effects
